Harbor Beach is Oceanside's longest beach and boasts everything from surfing and multiple lifeguard towers to volleyball courts, kayak rentals and free parking. The beach is situated just across from picturesque Oceanside Harbor and further amenities include BBQ grills, picnic tables, a playground, restrooms, showers and fire rings.
Running north from the Oceanside Pier, this beach is known for stretches of nice sand and its relaxing vibe. During the summer months, an area is closed to surfing, but open for all other water activities. Sand volleyball courts are also available while other public amenities can be found nearby on Pier View South Beach.
Breakwater Way Beach is situated just south of Oceanside Harbor and is a quiet, family-friendly beach that is also popular with surfers due to its sandbar and good surf break. Amenities include lifeguard towers, grills, picnic tables, volleyball courts (players provide their own nets), fire rings, restrooms and showers. Pay parking available at the east end of Breakwater Way and east of Pacific Street.
Together with Tyson Street Park, this beach boasts both grassy areas and a sandy beachfront, making it popular for picnics. The beach is also within walking distance of the pier and facilities include picnic tables, play areas and a playground, a snack stand (in summer), restrooms and showers. During summer months, surfing is limited.
Oceanside boasts over three and a half miles of beaches, including Wisconsin Street Beach. Located at Wisconsin Street and The Strand, this beach is a narrow strip of sand that runs parallel to The Strand and all but disappears during high tide when the water reaches all the way to the rocks. The beach features a snack shop, restrooms and showers, and offers swimming and surfing year round.
Oceanside Boulevard Beach is next to Buccaneer Beach and offers specific areas for surfing and swimming. The beach, which runs alongside private waterfront homes, has lifeguard towers but not other public facilities.
Situated south of the Oceanside Pier, the Pier View South Beach is the area's most popular beach and is close to the the city's downtown shops and restaurants. In addition to the pier itself, the beach boasts an amphitheater and frequent surfing, bodyboarding, and body surfing contests. Amenities include covered picnic tables, fire rings and BBQ grills, lifeguard towers, rest rooms and vending machines.
